Vice President, Global Quality

This role has enterprise-wide responsibility for quality across the VSD and PSD Divisions, and MSD, longer term and timing to be determined. The VP, Global Quality will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive quality strategy across the entire product lifecycle, including new product development, material quality, manufacturing processes, and post-production controls. They will oversee the Reliability & Compliance team.

The position reports directly to the COO and the preferred candidate will be within commuting distance to work Hybrid at our Corporate location in Andover MA, but for the right candidate, we will also consider remotely based in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic quality plan aligned with customer requirements, corporate objectives, and regulatory standards.
  • Establish robust systems, processes, and metrics to ensure compliance, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and lead a high-performing quality organization with clear roles, accountability, and engagement.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive innovation through technology, including enterprise QMS implementation and AI-enabled data analytics.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of quality leadership experience in high-tech, complex manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or related technical field; Master’s preferred.
  • Proven record of leading quality transformations.

  • Strong strategic, technical, and business acumen.

  • Experience designing global quality organizations.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and managing risks to ensure quality standards are met.

We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not be sponsoring work visas for this position, at this time. 

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $236,600 - $439,400 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.   

At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
