Otis is a global industrial leader with a multi-billion-dollar installed base and a localized service execution model. We create value across the full asset lifecycle - from New Equipment installation to Modernization and Service. Together, these businesses form a cohesive ecosystem that drives long-term growth and global market leadership.

We are seeking a Global Vice President, Pricing & Margin Strategy, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, to lead pricing across the business. This role will oversee pricing strategy, operations, and governance across all business units and regions, including North America, Europe, and APAC, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide financial objectives.

This is a high-impact commercial leadership role, not a traditional functional position. The mandate is to deliver measurable bottom-line results by strengthening pricing governance, embedding advanced analytics, and improving execution across the global organization. This role will be a key driver of margin expansion and enterprise profitability.

Why This Role Matters Now

  • High-impact, high-visibility transformation role across all global regions: America, APAC, China, and EMEA.
  • Full ownership of the pricing engine across New Equipment, Modernization, and Service.
  • Strong and visible executive sponsorship at the ELT level, ensuring traction and support.
  • Opportunity to build global pricing architecture and guardrails in a regionally driven P&L environment.
  • Significant investment in analytics, digital tools, and commercial excellence to enable step-change impact.
  • In a service-driven industrial model, pricing discipline determines whether installed base scale translates into sustainable margin expansion. This role sits at the center of that equation.

24–36 Month Mandate

  • Define and implement a unified global pricing strategy across New Equipment, Modernization, and Service.
  • Establish a global pricing governance framework with clear guardrails and escalations.
  • Build and scale a Global Pricing CoE, strengthening capabilities and talent.
  • Deliver sustained margin expansion and support annual business plan targets through actions reducing discount variability and margin leakage.
  • Embed value-based pricing to improve deal quality across all business units.
  • Implement transparent reporting and dashboards (e.g., waterfall) across major markets.
  • Work closely with the regions to translate pricing strategy into a successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design the Global Pricing Strategy

  • Develop a unified pricing strategy across New Equipment, Modernization, and Service.
  • Ensure consistent pricing principles with flexibility for regional markets.
  • Develop segmentation models based on product, customer profile, risk, and competition.

Establish Global Governance & Guardrails

  • Define and enforce standardized pricing methodologies, discount frameworks, and approval processes to reduce leakage and inconsistency.
  • Establish clear discount authority and escalation thresholds by role and deal type.
  • Implement structured large-deal review processes.
  • Drive the development and adoption of best-in-class tools, processes, and systems.

Drive Business Performance and Profitability

  • Drive margin expansion and revenue growth through optimized pricing strategies.
  • Identify pricing opportunities through analytics, segmentation, and value-based pricing approaches.
  • Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to set pricing targets and monitor performance.

Build Advanced Pricing Analytics and Insights

  • Develop pricing models incorporating cost-to-serve, lifecycle value, customer profile, competition, and risk.
  • Deploy global dashboards for price realization and margin performance.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform pricing decisions and track performance.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market benchmarking.
  • Partner with Digital/IT to implement optimization tools and quoting systems.

Lead in a Matrix Organization

  • Align and drive accountability across Regional Presidents, CFOs, and Commercial Leaders on pricing performance.
  • Balance global discipline with local market agility.
  • Lead cross-regional pricing councils and best practice sharing.
  • Communicate pricing strategy and results to senior leadership.

Build Capability & Talent

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Global Pricing Center of Excellence (3–4 FTEs).
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and capabilities required across regions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
  • Develop pricing playbooks and training for commercial teams.

Organizational Scope

  • Global Pricing Center of Excellence (3-4 FTEs).
  • Matrix partnership with Regional Pricing Leader and Regional Pricing team.
  • Close collaboration with CFO, Commercial, Product, and Digital functions.
  • High visibility with Executive Leadership Team.
  • Partner with Technology and Digital teams to embed pricing strategy into tools and systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record of delivering measurable margin expansion through pricing initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of installed base economics and lifecycle value drivers.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in pricing tools, data, and performance tracking.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Capabilities

  • Strong financial acumen across P&L, margin drivers, and lifecycle value.

  • Executive presence with ability to influence senior commercial and regional leaders.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing, globally distributed teams.
