About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
We are seeking an exceptional Global Migration Factory Leader to join our Global Migration Services team. This critical role combines strategic migration expertise with hands-on technical leadership to drive successful migrations across Marketing Next, Tableau Next, and Revenue Cloud while building scalable frameworks and reusable assets for scaled field deployment by our professional services team and partners.
Background
Salesforce is at a pivotal moment across multiple product portfolios. The shift from legacy solutions to next-generation platforms — Marketing Next, Tableau Next, and Revenue Cloud — represents one of the most significant product transition efforts in the company's history, and one of the greatest opportunities to deepen customer trust at scale.
To meet this moment, Salesforce has established a Global Migration Factory: a dedicated, high-velocity engineering organization purpose-built to move customers to next-generation platforms with speed, consistency, and confidence. This is not a traditional implementation practice. It operates at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success — developing and refining the repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and tooling that make migration scalable. Critically, insights from the factory floor feed directly back into the products themselves, driving the development of native migration capabilities that reduce friction for every customer that follows.
Business Objectives
The Migration Factory exists to accelerate customer transitions to Marketing Next, Tableau Next, and Revenue Cloud, de-risk the migration experience for customers and Salesforce alike, and continuously improve the systems that make migration faster and more predictable over time. Every engagement sharpens the playbook. Every technical challenge is an opportunity to build a better tool — whether that lives in the Migration Factory's toolkit or inside the products themselves. This is field R&D in the truest sense.
Expected Outcomes and Customer Benefits
For customers, the Migration Factory transforms migration from a bespoke, high-risk project into a structured, proven path to next-generation platforms. Timelines compress. Risk decreases. And customers arrive on their new platform positioned to take full advantage of its capabilities — not just survive the transition. Because the factory is integrated with Salesforce's Forward Deployed Engineering organization, customer feedback flows directly to product teams, accelerating resolution and ensuring the customer's voice shapes what gets built next.
In this role, you will:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead a High-Performing Migration Team: Recruit, mentor, and develop migration leaders and teams across Marketing Next, Tableau Next, and Revenue Cloud. You'll be responsible for staffing, capacity planning, and ensuring the team has the resources needed for successful migration delivery.
Ensure Operational Excellence: Monitor key performance indicators including migration velocity, asset reusability, and customer satisfaction. Coach your team on improvement areas and effectively manage complex migration escalations.
Diversity & Equality: You'll create a diverse, inclusive and psychologically safe environment for your team.
Technical Strategy & Execution
Maintain Technical Authority: Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for migrations across Marketing Next, Tableau Next, and Revenue Cloud, staying current on platform capabilities as these solutions mature and are fully released during FY27. Working with Product & Engineering teams you will maintain deep expertise in version differences, deprecation schedules, and migration pathways.
Build Migration Frameworks: Develop standardized migration methodologies, assessment tools, and playbooks that can be scaled across the field organization. Create reusable technical assets including migration agents, scripts, data transformation utilities, configuration templates, and validation frameworks.
Guide Complex Migrations: Lead your team in assessing customer migration readiness, identifying compatibility barriers, mapping legacy functionality to new capabilities, and developing phased migration strategies. Directly assist with the most complex technical challenges across all product lines.
Influence Product: Partner with Product and Engineering teams across Marketing Next, Tableau Next, and Revenue Cloud on migration tooling requirements, sharing field insights to inform automated migration capabilities and version transition features.
Customer & Business Impact
Drive Migration Success: Build and maintain strong executive relationships within a defined customer portfolio, ensuring successful version migrations with minimal business disruption and maximum feature adoption.
Manage Portfolio Performance: Operationally manage your migration portfolio, monitoring key metrics including migration timelines, technical debt reduction, and post-migration health scores to accelerate progress toward completion goals.
Strategic Alignment: Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Professional Services teams to ensure customers migrate successfully while capturing lessons learned and feeding insights back into framework development.
We're looking for someone with:
Proven Leadership: 5+ years in direct people management or indirect leadership roles, with a track record in talent management and technical team building.
Deep Product Migration Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience leading customer migrations for one or more of Marketing Next, Tableau Next, or Revenue Cloud. Strong understanding of version differences, deprecated features, and migration complexities.
Migration Architecture Skills: Proven experience leading complex system migrations or platform upgrades, with ability to architect phased migration strategies that minimize risk and business impact.
Framework Development Mindset: Track record of creating reusable technical assets, standardized methodologies, or scalable tooling that has been successfully adopted by broader teams.
Enterprise Customer Focus: Strong background in high-touch customer success strategies at the enterprise level, coupled with executive-level communication and influence skills.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Resourcefulness, flexibility, and a "get-it-done" demeanor are essential when navigating migration complexities.
8+ years extensive hands-on experience with migration APIs, SQL queries, and data architecture.
5+ years experience migrating customers across one or more of Marketing Cloud, Tableau, or Revenue Cloud platforms.
Experience with Marketing Cloud migrations including journey builder, automation studio, email studio, data extensions, and API integrations.
Experience with Tableau migrations including server-to-cloud transitions, workbook migrations, REST API automation, or embedded analytics.
Experience with Revenue Cloud migrations including CPQ upgrades, Billing transitions, or quote-to-cash platform migrations.
Familiarity with data migration tooling, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks.
Relevant Salesforce certifications (Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Tableau certifications, CPQ Specialist, Revenue Cloud Consultant, or platform certifications).
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
This is a unique opportunity to shape migration practice at scale while hiring and leading a talented team of technical professionals at Salesforce.
