MUFG Bank is seeking a Vice President to join their Treasury Operations team. What you'll do:

As Vice President – Treasury Operations, you will be entrusted with guiding a talented team towards operational excellence in FX and Money Market activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around supporting the Team Head in achieving departmental objectives through effective communication and shared decision-making. You will oversee transaction monitoring systems to guarantee accuracy and timeliness while collaborating with various business units to implement procedural enhancements that align with regulatory standards. Managing vendor relationships will be crucial as you ensure outsourced processes remain efficient and compliant. Regularly reviewing workflows will allow you to drive improvements that benefit both staff performance and organisational outcomes. By fostering an environment of continuous learning through targeted training initiatives, you will empower your team to adapt seamlessly to change. Your ability to maintain strong stakeholder connections will further reinforce the department’s reputation for reliability and responsiveness.

  • Support the Team Head by aligning departmental objectives with broader organisational goals, facilitating open communication channels, and assisting in collaborative decision-making processes.

  • Lead the FX and Money Market Operations team by overseeing daily transactions, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements, and implementing best practices that promote efficiency and minimise risk.

  • Monitor interbank and customer transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing through robust systems that uphold high standards of reliability.

  • Collaborate closely with business units and functional teams to implement new operational procedures and system changes while ensuring full regulatory compliance and minimising disruption to services.

  • Manage vendor relationships by overseeing outsourced processes, guaranteeing they meet company standards for efficiency, compliance, and quality control.

  • Review existing workflows regularly to identify areas for improvement, re-engineer procedures as needed to enhance overall efficiency, and provide comprehensive staff training to support these changes.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treasury products and market developments to inform operational strategies and ensure alignment with industry best practices.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team by encouraging feedback, sharing insights, and supporting professional development initiatives.

  • Ensure all internal policies are followed meticulously while adapting procedures to meet evolving regulatory requirements.

  • Act as a dependable point of contact for stakeholders regarding operational matters, providing clear guidance and empathetic support when addressing queries or concerns.

To excel as Vice President – Treasury Operations, your background should reflect substantial experience in treasury functions within financial institutions. Your proven track record at supervisory level highlights your ability to guide teams through complex challenges while maintaining a nurturing approach that supports individual development. You bring deep familiarity with treasury products alongside an up-to-date understanding of regulatory frameworks governing financial operations.   • University education or above is required for this position, demonstrating your commitment to academic achievement.

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in treasury operations is essential, including at least 3 years at supervisor level where you have honed your people management abilities.

  • Comprehensive understanding of treasury products enables you to navigate complex transactions confidently while supporting colleagues’ learning.

  • Thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements ensures you can uphold compliance across all operational activities without compromise.

  • Familiarity with internal operational policies allows you to integrate best practices into daily routines effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills enable you to connect with stakeholders at all levels in a considerate manner that fosters trust and cooperation.
