About the role:
In your role as Vice President, you will support the CFO of Global Corporate and Institutional Banking APAC (GCIB APAC) and broader Financial Planning Team, assuming accountability for the completeness and accuracy of GCIB APAC’s financial information and forecasting across both corporate and investment banking. This role will also have a deep financial performance analytics mandate.
As part of this remit, the role will assume day-to-day management responsibility for all financial data, including relevant data sourcing from Bank ERP systems, bespoke databases /data warehouses/ data cube management and pipeline management/forecasting tools. Incremental to this will be the primary owner of all mainstream financial reports, dashboards and other management reporting to support the strategic objectives of GCIB APAC.
What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for the accuracy of financial information, including P/L and B/S, inter-office liquidity charges, cost allocations and RWA and credit loss allocations
Support the provision of regular, rolling forecasts of revenue, expense, credit cost, balance sheet and returns (and their related drivers) across GCIB, its respective customer portfolios and its IBD business units
Responsible for the maintenance of GCIB APAC primary financial databases, including sourcing, cleansing, aggregation and onward supply to core GCIB platforms (CHUB and GCRM)
Provide development and business maintenance support for our critical management information architecture for GCIB APAC (e.g. bespoke databases /data warehouses/ data cubes and pipeline management/forecasting tools)
Put in place and maintain all relevant monitoring, control, reporting and relevant analytical reports and dashboards
Support CFO and broader Financial Planning team with upward GCIB-related reporting for GCIB APAC
Assist CFO and Director Financial Planning, as required with strategic and business development initiatives as required for GCIB APAC
Assist CFO and Director Financial Planning, as required, with troubleshooting and general business issues for GCIB APAC
Liaison with the financial planning teams in-country
Liaison with product offices and other key stakeholders integral to GCIB APAC’s performance, safety and soundless
What we are looking for:
7+ years’ experience in the financial services sector of which 3 years’ in a senior financial planning and analysis role within a Corporate and Investment Bank
At least 3 years in banking industry with strong financial and managerial accounting skills and excellent data handling skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field with ACA/CPA/CMA/CFA
Strong team Management and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
Strong understanding of MS Office (with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint) and databases.
Good knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking business drivers would be an advantage
Good understanding of / experience in Bank treasury functions would also be an advantage
Strong communication skills with ability to influence others
