Your role

ING Equity Capital Markets currently has a vacant Vice President position within equity syndicate.

Our ECM team is a dynamic joint venture between Global Capital Markets (GCM) and Corporate Finance (CF), and part of the Capital Markets and Advisory division within ING Wholesale Banking. The team is advising companies on raising equity on international stock markets.

As part of our team, you’ll be involved in:

  • Strategic Advisory: Guiding corporate clients through Initial Public Offerings (IPO), follow-on equity issues, and secondary offerings such as rights issues and accelerated bookbuild offerings (ABB).
  • Capital Return Programs: Managing share buybacks, preference shares issuances, and equity-linked transactions like convertible bonds.
  • Market Expertise and Origination: Collaborating with FM Equity Markets to originate, structure, and distribute equity and equity-linked transactions to a diverse range of institutional and retail investors.
  • Issuer Services and Corporate Broking: Structuring, implementing and coordinating corporate broking and issuer services origination and execution in connection with ECM transaction and for corporates in the aftermarket.

You will be supporting the team in originating, structuring, and executing high-profile ECM transactions, mainly in Europe (recent transactions include CM.com, B2Gold, Talabat, Nepi Rockcastle, CTP, CVC Capital Partners, Galderma, Xior Student Housing, Tui, Exor, Aedifica, Montea, Ebusco, Fugro, JDE Peet’s, Just Eat Takeaway, ALD Automotive, Vonovia, and Prosus).

  • Many complex and demanding Equity Capital Markets transactions to showcase and develop your skillset

Who are we looking for

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 6-8 years of relevant working experience in ECM, equity syndicate, M&A or strategic (corporate finance) advisory, and demonstratable affinity with equity markets
  • Strong communicators, creative, dedicated and possess a high level of energy and attention to detail
  • Candidates furthermore have demonstratable interpersonal skills, project management skills, affinity with key databases (Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Factset, etc.)
  • Fluency in business English is required, candidates are expected to reside in the Netherlands
  • Proficiency in the Dutch language is a plus
  • Preference will be given to demonstrable existing knowledge and experience with syndication, ECM, issuer services and capital return strategies. The role will include equity syndicate execution, ECM origination, Issuer services coordination and capital return strategies execution
