About the Role
The Vice President of Enterprise Marketing is a senior, strategic leader responsible for overseeing and integrating all marketing functions across B2B, B2C, and Shared Services. This role leads marketing strategy and execution for health plan, provider, and patient audiences, ensuring cohesion across channels, functions, and business lines.
The ideal candidate brings deep B2C expertise, with a proven track record driving high-performance multi-channel campaigns (digital, SMS, direct mail, social) and deploying AI and automation at scale across marketing operations. They thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments—equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to build from the ground up and operating at an executive level to define enterprise-wide strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
Enterprise Marketing Leadership
- Lead the overall enterprise marketing function, spanning Health Plan (B2B), Provider (B2B2C), and Patient (B2C) marketing.
- Develop and operationalize a unified marketing strategy that aligns with corporate goals and accelerates growth across all customer segments.
- Build and evolve the marketing organizational structure, ensuring clarity of roles, efficient workflows, and collaboration across departments.
B2C Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Drive high-impact multi-channel patient acquisition, engagement, and retention campaigns, including digital, SMS, direct mail, and social.
- Oversee strategy and execution for acquisition marketing, performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, and ongoing engagement programs.
- Own channel innovation and experimentation to continuously improve reach, personalization, and ROI.
B2B & Provider Marketing
- Oversee marketing programs targeting health plans and provider groups, ensuring messaging alignment, sales enablement support, and demand generation.
- Partner with commercial teams to optimize outreach, ABM programs, and provider/payer engagement strategies.
Marketing Shared Services Leadership
- Direct shared service functions, including:
- Marketing Operations & Technology
- AI, Automation & Personalization Architecture
- Creative/Brand
- Content & Copy
- Vendor and Agency Management
- Ensure cross-functional alignment and scalability of core marketing infrastructure, processes, and tools.
AI, Automation & Data-Driven Marketing
- Champion the implementation of AI-driven marketing capabilities, including personalization, predictive modeling, content automation, and multi-channel orchestration.
- Establish a data-first culture and ensure marketing decisions are supported by insights, analytics, and measurable performance outcomes.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize operational efficiency and growth.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a diverse, high-performing marketing organization across all subfunctions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, inclusiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Develop career paths and manage staffing plans to support the company’s growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, Operations, and executive leadership to drive definition of go-to-market strategy and ensure alignment.
- Serve as a thought partner to senior executives, contributing to broader enterprise strategy and direction.
- Bring a client-first approach to collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5+ in senior management roles.
- Demonstrated success leading B2C marketing in healthcare, health tech, or a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience using consumer and clinical data to drive personalized multi-channel patient acquisition campaigns.
- Deep expertise in multi-channel consumer marketing, including email, SMS, digital, direct mail, and social.
- Proven experience deploying AI and automation within marketing functions, including CRM, CDP, and advanced marketing automation platforms.
- Strong understanding of B2B and provider marketing; experience supporting sales and enterprise growth preferred.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and scaling teams across multiple functional areas.
- Startup or high-growth environment experience required; ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on capacities.
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements related to patient marketing.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management abilities.
