The Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia is seeking a Vice President to join the Country Desk team in Singapore. This role sits within a highly collaborative regional team and represents coverage countries at APAC Headquarters. The successful candidate will bring strong corporate banking product knowledge and be comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels of management in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Country Desk team under the Customer Strategy & Analytics team (CSA), act as the designated coordinator for assigned APAC country (ies), representing Relationship Managers and GCIB Country Heads from the coverage country at APAC Headquarters.

  • Lead and support the development of Annual Planning account strategiesAccount Plans for the clients and maintain active engagement in regional and country deal pipelines.

  • Closely coordinate with Product Offices in Singapore and affiliate companies to capture cross‑border transactions and ancillary business, with the objective of maximizing profitability and expanding business opportunities for Asian local corporates, GSB and FI clients in line with country and regional revenue targets and strategy.

  • Actively participate in Deal Screening Committees (DSC) for coverage country deals, securing required business approvals and following up on agreed cross‑sell targets.

  • Translate and deliver bank‑wide and regional strategies to coverage countries through deal‑by‑deal engagement, acting on behalf of senior management.

  • Support GCIB Country Heads in the execution of holistic business initiatives to drive growth, capture business development opportunities, and enhance platform efficiency, including active involvement in strategic and operational projects as required.

  • Apply a strong understanding of banking products and risk‑return frameworks to support Relationship Managers in positioning deals internally and externally.

  • Engage regularly with Credit Divisions to facilitate efficient credit assessment and approvals.deal approvals.

  • Drive initiatives related to client tiering and balance sheet optimization at the country portfolio level.

  • Utilize the GCIB APAC Portfolio Management system (CHUB) to ensure end‑to‑end execution of client initiatives.

  • Based at the Regional HQ in Singapore, manage senior stakeholder relationships and contribute to strategic projects as directed by Global and Regional Management to support the Bank’s Medium‑Term Business Plan.

  • Monitor portfolio risks across the Asia‑Pacific region, proactively identifying and escalating material risks that may impact financial performance.

  • Ensure all business risks, compliance, and regulatory matters are appropriately managed, reported, and escalated, fostering a culture of zero tolerance for non‑compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree qualified

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate banking products and services.

  • Proven experience in credit and/or relationship management within corporate and/or institutional banking.

  • Prior experience handling credit for large, mid‑market, and/or small corporates preferred

  • Experience in lending portfolio data consolidation and analysis is an advantage.

  • Strong familiarity with the Asia‑Pacific banking and corporate landscape, with demonstrated experience working across regional networks.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical capabilities.

  • Adaptable, resilient, and able to perform effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong PC skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced); Access preferred
