What is the opportunity?

As Vice President, Commercial Financial Services, Agriculture Sector for the province of BC, you are responsible for leading a team of employees to achieve business results through the successful implementation of RBC and Commercial Financial Services (CFS) strategic operational priorities. These priorities focus on delivering a unique client experience to enhance client retention, increase revenue through new client acquisition, and deepen relationships with existing clients.

What will you do?

  • Lead and collaborate with client relationship managers to structure, deliver, close, and monitor loan transactions, including credit submissions to Group Risk Management (GRM) and transaction presentations to clients
  • Set the direction, priorities, and key activities for the business strategy, communicating them clearly to motivate team members to adopt best practices and established sales/client relationship activities.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and knowledge of CFS banking by regularly assessing local market business opportunities and focusing on key success factors that drive effective sales behaviors and positive business results. Adjust team capacity for full productivity and efficiency (implementation excellence).
  • Support the team to demonstrate RBC’s capability to provide customized and creative credit solutions in a timely manner and deliver credit solutions that meet or exceed our client’s needs
  • Coach team members to balance sales results, portfolio profitability, and strong client relationships, using proactive client relationship management skills to effectively negotiate pricing/fees within established guidelines.

Requirements

  • Strong experience/knowledge in Commercial Financial Services, Agriculture.
  • Leadership experience in supporting and growing a high performance team in complex environment 
  • Demonstrated skills in representation and business development.
  • Proven track record in financial and credit analysis in support of exceptional client relationship management
  • Demonstrated skills in developing centers of influence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (MBA is an asset).
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to perform well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and projects, while meeting time-sensitive deadlines
