Vice President, AI & Data Strategy, Americas

OVERVIEW
• The AI & Data Strategy & Management organization (Chief Data Office) is responsible for the strategy, acquisition, evaluation, and responsible use of all types of data and AI capabilities that can be utilized for innovation and operations by a wide range of Mastercard product teams.

• Reporting to the Vice President (VP), AI & Data Strategy Americas, this role will be responsible for identifying data and AI needs and developing appropriate data and AI strategies to support business strategies across Americas. This regional role provides a unique opportunity to work across the different business units in the regions, driving how AI and data is used in products and solutions. It requires a leader who is strategic and analytic, who understands data, can engage teams to network and collaborate across business teams and can communicate complex concepts to various business and technical teams.

ROLE
VP, AI & Data Strategy, Americas

• Define and execute the vision and roadmap for AI & data strategies across the Americas regions

• Serve as a leader and subject matter expert on internal and third-party data and AI capabilities to drive product development and improvement efforts that leverage data and/or AI

• Work with the Americas regions to evaluate and implement AI capabilities and tools to achieve process efficiencies and cost reductions

• Drive data and AI design methodology for new products and services including determining data requirements for new products and enablement of business strategies, enabling the AI Intake process, documenting Data Briefs, Data Flows, and data material as required by the product management and AI Governance process

• Translate the business strategies into data and AI strategy and related requirements, as well as its products and solutions, and identify related data & Ai gaps and required remediation

• Engage with strategic leaders across the Americas regions to evangelise data & AI best practices and develop enabling relationships for the team

• Be an external representative for Mastercard to influence stakeholders and advance Mastercard’s reputation and objectives in the data and AI space

• Define and monitor success metrics including AI intake throughput and other relevant KPIs

• Cultivate a culture of innovation, excellence, operational ownership, and accountability.

ALL ABOUT YOU

• Advanced experience working with data & AI products, either in acquisition, development, governance, or evaluation

• Deep understanding of the Payments and/or Fintech industry as well as regional nuances

• Exceptional executive communication skills with a proven ability to influence C-level stakeholders across a matrixed, global organization and across technology, product, and executive teams globally

• Strong understanding of AI and data analytics

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building and partnering. Must work well in both team and individual settings and must be able to work with a geographically dispersed team

• Ability to create strategies and plans that define how data and AI can be utilized to support an organization’s overall business strategy, how that data is organized and governed inside an organization

• Motivated self-starter with ability to excel at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working under your own initiative

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

Miami, Florida: $204,000 - $326,000 USD
