Guided by our goal to ensure member and client satisfaction, Desjardins is seeking a Vice President, Property and Casualty Insurance Marketing. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Member and Client Experience, Cooperation and Human Transformation, this leader will be responsible for defining, deploying, and evolving the marketing directions for the property and casualty insurance sector, in order to strengthen the brand’s strategic positioning and support growth in Quebec and across Canada.
The role requires an in‑depth understanding of the major trends transforming strategic marketing, including the evolution of technologies and AI, issues related to climate change, and their impact on various business sectors.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evolving the marketing expertise plan and its portfolio of initiatives within a context of transformation and growth. They will ensure alignment with the wealth management strategy, the personal and business sectors, and the Desjardins Group’s governance bodies.
They will also oversee the governance of the functions under their responsibility, the continuous advancement of practices, talent development, and performance measurement, with the goal of increasing the impact, consistency, and contribution of sector‑based marketing plans toward achieving Desjardins Group’s business objectives.
Main Responsibilities
Support the Executive Vice Presidency in developing and implementing the strategic orientations of Desjardins Group.
Develop sector‑specific marketing strategies and plans aligned with business ambitions, member/client needs, and market opportunities.
Create value through business analysis, advanced analytics, and data optimization to inform strategies, offerings, and performance.
Contribute to the development of property and casualty insurance solutions and support national product/market strategies, including auto and home insurance pricing.
Design and deploy national risk‑segmentation strategies to optimize targeting, pricing, and results.
Identify business and improvement opportunities beyond the sector marketing plan to support the achievement of objectives.
Oversee the execution of the sector’s marketing plan, in collaboration with other teams, and ensure ongoing performance monitoring to adjust initiatives as needed.
Enhance the member/client experience by managing dissatisfaction situations and integrating insights into continuous improvement initiatives.
Advise internal partners, support their initiatives, and represent the organization with external bodies.
Develop and execute the sector’s business plan, manage the budget, implement management practices that foster engagement, skill development, succession, and embody Desjardins’ cooperative values.

Lead the evolution of the brand, positioning, and communication strategies to support the pan‑Canadian growth of the property and casualty insurance sector.
Strengthen the impact of data, insights, and marketing technologies (martech) in decision‑making and in optimizing client journeys.

Position requirements
Several years of experience in a management or executive marketing role, demonstrating strong leadership experience, including matrix management, coaching, and mentoring.
Ability to work with modern tools, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence.
Strong mastery of marketing in a sophisticated digital environment.
Advanced bilingualism required to interact with English‑ and French‑speaking partners, members, and clients.
Proven ability to execute, optimize, and lead transformation initiatives in complex and ambiguous contexts.
Ability to mobilize teams, enhance the client experience, simplify processes, and manage large‑scale projects
