VCA Sawmill Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our newly renovated animal hospital!

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. 8 - 10 hour shifts with one weekend a month. 

 

Compensation $ 24 - 25/hr, and the starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field.

Now that our renovation is complete, our facility features 10 exam rooms, 2 surgical suites, a dental procedure room, new CT imaging services, a state-of-the-art physical therapy department, and an updated grooming department.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities): 

  • Assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-op recovery 

  • Perform dental cleanings, charting, and radiographs 

  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the DVM 

  • Collect samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics 

  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments 

  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and home care 

  • Maintain accurate patient medical records 

  • Diagnostic imaging

Qualifications:  

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or eligible to transfer state license (LVT, CVT, LVMT) or eligible to sit for the VTNE within 6 months of hire.
