VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Fishers, Indiana, is seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team as a Specialty Veterinary Technician Supervisor.
In this role, you will oversee and support our Specialty Surgery and Ophthalmology Services while mentoring and developing our technical team to deliver exceptional patient care.
What You’ll Do:
As a Specialty Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will:
Direct workflow on the floor and ensure efficient operations in Specialty Surgery and Ophthalmology Services
Cultivate an inclusive, positive, and collaborative hospital culture
Partner with hospital management and supervisory teams to support hospital growth and excellence
Assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members
Mentor and educate technicians to strengthen skills and professional growth
Lead staff meetings and provide opportunities for continuing education
Resolve conflicts professionally and constructively
Refine, implement, and maintain hospital protocols and best practices
Ensure all technical staff follow VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations
You will work closely with the Medical Director, Hospital Manager, Emergency Technician Supervisor, and other Department Supervisors to foster a winning team environment, deliver high-quality patient care, and support the professional development of your colleagues.
Qualifications:
Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT)
5+ years of experience in a specialty or emergency veterinary setting
Demonstrated team leadership experience
Passion for veterinary medicine and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
