VCA Peninsula Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

In this position, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include, but are not limited to (under the guidance of the Technician Supervisor and/or doctor):
• Maintaining medical records.
• Cleaning kennels
• Administering treatment and services to veterinarian-prescribed pets.
• Preparing the surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care to pets in the hospital.
We are looking for someone with previous veterinary experience, is preferred, has outstanding client service skills, medical terminology knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
This position pays $19 - $22 per hour, depending on experience, education, certification, etc.
