The Veterinary Assistant supports our doctors and technicians in providing safe, high-quality medical care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and positive experience for clients. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy clinical setting.
Patient Care & Technical Support
Safely restrain patients for exams and procedures
Assist technicians with diagnostics including radiographs, lab sample collection, and in-house testing
Prepare and maintain treatment areas
Work directly with the Veterinarian in exam rooms
Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment and exam rooms
Client Interaction
Provide compassionate, professional communication with clients
Review discharge instructions and reinforce doctor recommendations
Ensure accurate documentation of services and treatments
Operational Support
Maintain inventory and restock supplies
Follow hospital SOPs and safety protocols
Support workflow efficiency during high-volume appointment times
Previous veterinary experience preferred (6+ months ideal)
Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
High attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or stressful situations

Pay for this position is between $19.50 and $21.50 dependent on experience
