We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team at Renton Veterinary Hospital. In this role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to our animal patients. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication skills, a passion for animal welfare, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist during exams, treatments, and surgeries to ensure pets receive the highest level of care.
• Keep our clinic running smoothly by maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
• Comfort pets and their owners, offering empathy and education during challenging moments.
• Handle animal restraint during examinations or treatments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering empathy and support while educating them about general care and post-treatment instructions.
• Take part in a variety of tasks, from administering medications to managing inventory.

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone passionate about animals and excited to work in a hands-on, team-oriented role.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Prior VA or directly related experience strongly preferred
• Physical ability to lift and handle animals of all sizes.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to exceptional patient care and client communication.

This position is Full-Time, 32-40hrs per week. Availability Monday-Friday, with potential for Saturday availability need in the future
