About Our Clinic

Aborn Pet Hospital is located in Fremont, CA, and we're hiring a veterinarian for our full-service wellness and emergency animal hospital located in Fremont, CA that sees Rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats/mice and cats & dogs. Exotics:

Rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats/mice. The Medical Director and one other doctor that work on mammals (but only ~5% percent of practice volume). Open to more variety at providers comfort level, especially for adding avian and or reptiles.

Our team loves what they do- creating happy vets & happy pets! This is a highly desirable hospital for people to work at. We're excited to have the opportunity to continue to grow and add an additional doctor!

Clinic Snapshot

Aborn Pet Hospital staff are dedicated to excellent patient care, client communication, and teamwork which makes it a great environment for a veterinarian to fully utilize their medicine and surgery skills. Currently, we have multiple techs and assistants and three highly skilled, hardworking, and four kind full-time DVMs.

  • Practice type: General Practice, Emergency, Urgent Care, and Specialty (small animal).

  • Avg. daily patient volume: ~15–20 patients per doctor

  • Support staff ratio: ~2-5 per DVM

  • Case mix: GP wellness, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, emergency, and specialty services, etc.

  • Technology & equipment: Digital x-ray system (body and dental), mobile ultrasound/large stationary ultrasound, Idexx Vet Lab Station for in-clinic diagnostics, UA analyzer, Companion Animal Cold laser, Tonopen, 3 dental table suite, 3 table surgery suite, 3 Wet Tables, etc.

  • Team culture: We are in a great place to collaborate amongst the team and welcome an experienced veterinarian or provide mentorship to someone looking to learn and grow.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university (required)

  • (Optional role-specific skills: Medical Director, exotics, soft tissue or orthopedic surgery, new-grad friendly, etc.)
