Job Description

Mission:

This position will be responsible Central Vehicle Gateway equipped with Ethernet/CAN/CANFD. This role demands a deep understanding of Ethernet/CAN protocols, network design, with a focus on delivering robust, scalable solutions for in-vehicle networks.

Responsibilities:

Ethernet & VLAN Architecture Design and Debug

Tasks:

  • Design and implement Ethernet and VLAN architectures for automotive network systems, ensuring high-performance, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex Ethernet-related issues within the automotive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and configuration of Ethernet networks and VLAN architectures tailored to in-vehicle systems.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to define Ethernet PHY and switch parameters for optimal network performance.
  • Work closely with system and software teams to ensure seamless Ethernet integration with automotive systems.
  • Debug and resolve Ethernet and VLAN-related connectivity issues, ensuring minimal network disruptions.

Ethernet PHY & Switch Parameters Design and Configuration

Tasks:

  • Design, configure, and optimize Ethernet PHY and Switch parameters for automotive applications.
  • Collaborate with hardware and network teams to ensure compatibility and performance of Ethernet components.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and configure Ethernet PHY parameters, ensuring performance optimization for in-vehicle use cases.
  • Work with hardware teams to ensure the correct configuration of Ethernet Switches, ensuring smooth data flow and minimal latency in connected systems.
  • Perform regular tests and evaluations of network components to ensure performance and reliability.

Scope of Action:

  • Drive the overall architecture, design, and troubleshooting of Ethernet/CAN for in-vehicle use cases.
  • Ensure collaboration across hardware, software, and network teams to develop optimized and seamless connectivity solutions.
  • Provide expertise in network performance, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement in architecture and implementation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Ethernet/CAN network performance and reliability in real-world automotive environments.
  • Efficiency and optimization of Ethernet PHY and Switch parameters for automotive network systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Ethernet/CAN effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Contribution to process improvements and best practices in network design and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and debugging Ethernet and VLAN architectures, specifically for automotive or embedded systems.
  • Extensive experience with Ethernet PHY configuration, switch parameter design, and VLAN architecture.
  • Familiarity with automotive network protocols and standards (e.g., CAN, LIN, MOST, Ethernet, etc.).
  • Understanding of automotive industry standards related to connectivity and software updates.

Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of Ethernet/CAN protocols, VLAN, and network design.
  • In-depth experience with Ethernet PHY and Switch configuration for automotive applications.
  • Expertise in debugging and troubleshooting network issues in complex systems.
  • Familiar with Marvel, NXP or RealTek phy and switch chipsets
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams to design and implement integrated solutions.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and low-level software/hardware interactions.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is preferred.
