As a Cosmetic Inspector, you’ll play a key role in preparing vehicles for the next stage of their journey. In this role, you’ll carefully evaluate vehicles for cosmetic damage and clearly document repair needs, helping ensure smooth reconditioning, retail readiness, and confident client approvals.

What You'll Do:
You’ll work hands-on with vehicles, apply your attention to detail, and contribute directly to quality standards that matter.
Perform detailed cosmetic inspections on vehicles, including exterior, interior, glass, trim, paint, and body components
Identify, document, and photograph cosmetic damage accurately and consistently
Work closely with estimators, technicians, and recon leadership to clarify scope of work and repair expectations
Ensure inspections align with client standards, SLAs, and reconditioning guidelines
Re-inspect vehicles as needed after repairs to confirm quality and completeness
Communicate discrepancies, additional findings, or concerns promptly to leadership
Maintain inspection accuracy to avoid rework, delays, or cost overruns
Support production flow by completing inspections in a timely and organized manner
Follow all safety procedures and facility guidelines
Who You Are:

Minimum:
A high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field; or any degree/certification beyond high school and 1 year of experience; or 5 years of experience in a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Organizational skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs (e.g. tools, equipment)
Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
