VDC Intern
Reports to: VDC Manager
Direct Reports: N/A
Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role’s responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.
· Review and cross-check digital drawings and models for precision and adherence to project standards.
· Develop additional BIM models as required to meet specific project needs and requirements.
· Ensure that all new models are integrated seamlessly with existing models and data to maintain project consistency.
· Create comprehensive and detailed drawings, such as reflected ceiling plans, wall layouts, and sleeve penetrations, to facilitate construction planning and execution.
· Engage in regular meetings with various trades and disciplines to coordinate BIM efforts and ensure alignment across all project stakeholders.
· Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among different teams to streamline project workflows and resolve any coordination issues.
Education & Experience
· Seeking a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science or Architecture preferred.
· 1+ year of applicable coursework.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
· Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines.
· Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
· Positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Critical thinker and self-starter capable of accomplishing a task with limited guidance and supervision.
· Strong computer skills.
