This Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) position is a full‑time role within the Division of Vascular Surgery. The APP is a credentialed clinician practicing in an expanded capacity and augmenting the physicians’ ability to provide high‑quality outpatient vascular care.The APP is responsible for assessing and managing vascular surgery patients in the outpatient setting, including conducting new patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing postoperative follow‑up, performing clinic‑based procedures, and providing comprehensive wound care management for patients with peripheral arterial and venous disease. The APP will also support telephone triage and call management for outpatient vascular concerns to ensure continuity of care.
The APP plays an essential role in ongoing care following minimally invasive procedures, endovascular therapies, and open vascular reconstructions, ensuring safe, seamless outpatient recovery.
The APP provides comprehensive, culturally sensitive healthcare including assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, patient education, and referrals when appropriate. They work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary vascular team committed to high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Full‑time outpatient role
- Provide outpatient consultations for new and established patients
- Conduct annual evaluations utilizing ultrasound and cross‑sectional imaging
- Manage postoperative follow‑up and chronic vascular disease care
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient wound assessment and wound care
- Provide telephone triage and outpatient call management
- Participate in collaborative care planning with the vascular team
- Enhance patient access and continuity of care within a high‑volume practice
Applicants Should Have:
- NYS licensure as an NP or PA
- DEA certification
- ACLS/BLS
- Minimum of 1 year experience in vascular surgery, cardiology, wound care, or other relevant specialty preferred
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
- National Board Certification
