You will lead Market Access activities across the Caribbean and Central America (CARICAM) from Panama. You will develop and deliver access and reimbursement strategies for public and private payers while also supporting government affairs and policy engagement initiatives that help shape a sustainable healthcare environment. You will work closely with local and regional cross-functional teams to influence policy, secure listings, and enable sustainable patient access.

Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead development and execution of market access strategies for CARICAM, aligned with global and regional priorities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with public and private payers, health authorities and other decision makers.

  • Lead preparation and submission of reimbursement dossiers, using clinical and economic evidence to support value arguments.

  • Design and implement payer engagement plans and pricing approaches to secure timely and sustainable access.

  • Monitor healthcare policy, regulatory developments and government priorities across the region, translating insights into actionable access and advocacy strategies.

  • Engage with government stakeholders, industry associations and relevant external organizations to support policy dialogue and strengthen the healthcare environment for innovation and patient access.

Why You

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • University degree in health sciences, economics, public policy, pharmacy, business or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing or health economics within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.

  • Proven experience working with public and private payers in Latin America or the Caribbean.

  • Strong skills in developing reimbursement submissions and value dossiers.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and engaging senior stakeholders.

  • Fluent Spanish and professional level English; based in or willing to relocate to Panama; on-site role with flexible travel across the region.

Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced degree (Masters) in health economics, public health, business or similar.

  • Experience with health technology assessment (HTA) processes across CARICAM markets.

  • Familiarity with pricing regulations and negotiation strategies in Latin America and the Caribbean.

  • Background in HEOR or pharmacoeconomics with the ability to interpret clinical and economic data.

  • Experience working with government affairs, patient groups or NGO stakeholders.

  • Track record of delivering innovative payer solutions or partnership models to improve access.
