Essentials Job Functions

The Validation Engineer will work on a project that sets ambitious goals in terms of both content and timelines.

He/she will conduct validation activities in accordance with project plan and deadlines.

He/she will conduct research activities, parallel to the project, to develop methods for characterizing polymeric materials.

He/she will develop models aimed at the optimization of the product design and at the fulfillment of ambitious technical goals.

Rapid increase in project responsibilities

Education

Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering.

Work experience

Not strictly needed, but any work experience in similar industries or in private/public research institutions is highly appreciated.

Proved experience in modeling and/or cardiovascular engineering.

Language

Italian: mother tongue

English: fluent

Travels

Less than 25% according to project needs

Skills required

Very good knowledge of

  • Fluid mechanics

  • Transport phenomena

  • Thermodynamics

  • Polymeric membrane and porous materials

  • Phase separation processes for porous formation (TIPS and NIPS)

  • Spinning process

  • Mixing polymers with solvents

  • Distillation of low-boiling solvents

  • Additive manufacturing technologies for polymers.

  • Good modeling capabilities in any of the aforementioned topics.

  • Good experimental capabilities in any of the aforementioned topics.

  • Experience in the development of experimental design to validate computational models.

  • Knowledge of the following software: Ansys, Matlab, Python.

  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary groups of heterogeneous age and culture.

  • Ability to argument complex technical topics under stressful conditions.

  • Ability to adapt to situations, contexts, and unexpected changes, maintaining a positive and creative approach.

  • Inclination to self-education and self-motivation.
