About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, continuous development, and implementation of test strategies and test specifications, as well as for conducting EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing. You will provide technical project support to our customers, analyze system interactions, and ensure product quality as well as the quality of laboratory activities in the EMC domain through systematic test methodologies.

What You Will Do

  • Manage customer projects related to EMC testing, including order review and effort estimation, evaluation of test strategies, and translation of test requirements into complex measurement and testing procedures
  • Ensure and continuously improve the test infrastructure by planning and executing cyclical system validations and creating the associated documentation
  • Ensure laboratory quality in accordance with customer requirements and international standards, and derive appropriate improvement measures
  • Analyze calibration results, track trends, reproduce technical deviations, and derive and implement suitable actions to enhance laboratory quality
  • Analyze and evaluate existing test specifications and procedures with regard to their suitability and efficiency, and derive and develop new test scenarios and test automation solutions
  • Evaluate and commission external service providers and review their results
  • Plan tests and quality measures across multiple projects
  • Maintain the quality management system of the accredited EMC laboratory

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Relevant professional experience (3+ years) in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, including hands-on experience in performing tests
  • Solid knowledge of general measurement and testing technology, as well as familiarity with international EMC standards
  • Experience in project management
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities, a structured and results-oriented working style, and a strong awareness of cost, schedule, and quality

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience with EMC test software such as EMC32 or Elektra
  • Experience with qualification processes in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge in setting up test environments to ensure required testing coverage
