Vaccine Activation Manager: Pretoria (North & West)
JOB PURPOSE:
The Vaccines Activation Manager (VAM) is in charge of the promotion and implementation of the push-pull strategy in the given territory to ensure access to patients of Sanofi Vaccines portfolio through Public and/or Private channels. This is done mainly through engagement, collaboration and key account management with public health officials at Provincial, district and local levels (i.e. depot, vaccination centers, program managers) as well as promotion and transparent engagement with Healthcare Professionals in the Private sector including nurses and/or other vaccinators.
S/He plays a central role in the introduction of a new vaccination into regional vaccination calendars but also the current existing vaccination program and respective implementation at the district/territorial level, executing strategies and identifing solutions that meet Public Health needs in the field of vaccine prevention, in accordance with Sanofi’s policies, strategies, corporate values and code of ethics so as to be recognized a Public Health partner.
- The role will need to drive public and/or private markets in the country
- S/He is responsible for the management of her/his territory / customers
- Budget sales size in the country ~95M€ with projected growth including planned major launches (i.e. Beyfortus, Menquadfi, Flu HD)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Promotion and implementation of the push-pull strategy in the given territory to ensure access to patients of Sanofi Vaccines portfolio through Public and/or Private channels.
- Engagement, collaboration, and key account management with public health officials at Provincial, district & local levels (i.e. depot, vaccination clinics/centers, program managers) as well as promotion and transparent engagement with Healthcare Professionals in the private sector including nurses and/or other vaccinators.
- Execute the Country Vaccination Plan, in alignment with global and regional strategies.
- Introductions of new vaccinations in regional calendars but also the current existing vaccination program and respective implementation at the district/territorial level.
- Responsible for a territory across various stakeholders, taking ownership of the actions they plan and execute (including customer facing activities) in line with business objectives set by MCO and Country.
- Proactively and reactively innovative solutions to support the customer in particularly in the Public when it comes to programmatic issues and challenges (e.g. stock management, financial challenges, knowledge/training issues, gaps between national guidance vs practical implementation at provincial level etc).
ABOUT YOU:
JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Experience: 3+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Inquisitive, curious attitude and ability to identify opportunities for added value and collaboration
- Strong drive to achieve business & sales goals and share information with the working team
- Proactive attitude, problem solving mindset and ability to work as part of a team
- Deep knowledge, understanding and proven experience in the private & public sector including tenders, hospital, pharmacy & clinic business, and health care dynamics
- Vaccines experience is beneficial.
