The Opportunity:

CACI's Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Center of Excellence (COE) is seeking a talented and passionate UX Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the user experience of cutting-edge solutions for government clients. You'll work in a collaborative environment, applying your expertise in UX design principles, interaction design, and front-end development to create intuitive and impactful user interfaces. The UX Engineer will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between design and development, ensuring that our products deliver exceptional user experiences. This position requires a strong understanding of both user experience principles and technical implementation.

As a member of the COE, you'll not only shape the user experience of cutting-edge solutions but also set standards, mentor others, and drive UX excellence throughout CACI. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on design and development work with strategic influence on our UX practices. The ASF thrives in a culture of innovation and are constantly seeking individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and corporate levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead UX initiatives and establish best practices as part of the ASF Center of Excellence

  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and development teams to translate design mockups and prototypes into high-quality, performant code.

  • Implement and maintain user interface components and interactions according to design specifications.

  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and responsiveness of web applications.

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to inform design iterations and improvements.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in UX design and front-end development.

  • Contribute to the documentation of design and development processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design and front-end development

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

  • Solid understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and accessibility standards.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Expertise in user research methods and data analysis

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python) is a plus.

  • Portfolio of past projects demonstrating UX engineering skills.

  • Experience in establishing or contributing to a UX Center of Excellence

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards

  • Experience in government or defense-related projects
