JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY: Utility Feed Load Receive Operator FM01 - OK Pork Feed Mill

Hours: 1st Shift (hours may vary based on production needs)

Pay: $18.85/HR

The Utility Feed Load/Receive Operator is responsible for supporting feed mill operations by receiving, handling, and loading feed ingredients while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety and biosecurity standards.

DUTIES (Include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Accurately record and document incoming ingredient data using company systems
  • Operate scales and ticketing systems to track and verify deliveries
  • Unload feed ingredients and route materials to appropriate storage silos
  • Perform required quality checks and analysis on incoming ingredients
  • Operate loading equipment to ensure correct feed types are loaded and delivered to the proper destination
  • Direct drivers to appropriate loading/unloading areas based on schedules
  • Monitor and maintain feed bin inventory levels
  • Perform minor maintenance and assist with unloading using hand tools
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and service areas
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, customers, and vendors
  • Adjust priorities and tasks throughout the day to meet operational demands
  • Follow all company health, safety, and operational procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to accurately record and manage data
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment and hand tools
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on production needs
  • Must adhere to all company biosecurity guidelines, including restrictions related to avian species exposure
  • Must comply with all health and safety policies and procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is performed in varying conditions including hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty environments
  • Exposure to feed ingredients, dust, and outdoor weather conditions is expected
  • Work may be performed at elevated heights with required safety precautions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Must be able and willing to lift up to 60 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Must be able and willing to stand, walk, sit, climb ladders/stairs, and sustain physical activity throughout the shift
