A Glimpse of the Job
The Utilities Maintenance Scheduler assists with scheduling and develops work scopes and preventive maintenance plans for utility services. Ensures required inventory is available and maintains equipment files.
Essential Duties/Tasks:
Maintenance Schedule Development and Management
Assists with the development, maintenance, and management of the maintenance schedule.
Facilitates maintenance coordination meetings with crafts and operations staff to ensure appropriate execution of work plans.
Interfaces regularly with UES contractors and partners.
Organizes and maintains equipment maintenance files for all equipment.
Inventory and Work Scope Management
Ensures that the spare parts inventory for equipment is balanced between maximizing reliability and minimizing necessary work capital.
Assists in developing and maintaining work scopes for equipment outages and other major work required for maintaining equipment.
Supports in ordering and ensuring delivery of rental equipment for projects.
Preventative Maintenance
Supports in ordering and ensuring delivery of rental equipment for projects.
Special Projects and Coordination
Assists department staff with special projects. Generates work orders as needed.
Coordinates out-of-service activities, including planned and unplanned events. Providing communication with external and internal customers.
Assists shop management and personnel as needed in engaging/interfacing with UES and University systems.
Supports and tracks Emergency Power Systems (EPS) preventative maintenance (PM) activities on weekly, monthly and annual basis. Monitors the status of all the active emergency generators on UES programs, including RELLIS campus and state headquarters facilities. Uses the Generac monitoring tool to track the status of emergency generators on the main campus.
Maintains all EPS PM documentation.
Reports accidents and unsafe working conditions.

Salary range: $16.04 - $24.41 hourly.

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Customer Service experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Follows safety procedures outlined in Material Safety Data Sheets and participates in safety training.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of utility maintenance practices and documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Other Requirements and Factors
Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system
This position is security sensitive.
This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU regulations and procedures.
All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements
Works to cover shifts, or take emergency call, on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
