The Sam’s Cafe Back of House team operates in a fast-paced, high-volume setting focused on delivering quality guest experiences through a scratch kitchen approach. Team members collaborate to maintain food safety, sanitation, and operational standards while managing inventory and kitchen tasks efficiently. Clear communication, accountability, and adaptability are key to meeting daily demands. Leadership supports ongoing training and development to ensure adherence to company policies. Together, the team fosters a professional environment dedicated to operational excellence and consistent service delivery, emphasizing effective communication, food safety, and customer service.
  What you'll do:

• Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitation standards.
• Prepare food items by following recipes, operating kitchen equipment, and ensuring proper portioning.
• Stock, organize, and maintain kitchen supplies and utensils to support efficient operations.
• Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and assist with food preferences and payment processing.
• Monitor food quality and safety by checking temperatures, dating products, and completing logs.
• Collaborate with team members to meet priorities and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Adhere to company policies, food safety procedures, and ethical standards consistently.

What you'll bring:

• Proven ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation and service areas following established safety standards.
• Experience in food handling, including grilling, frying, baking, and portioning food according to recipes and quality guidelines.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members, addressing inquiries and providing guidance.
• Ability to manage inventory by estimating needs, stocking supplies, and organizing kitchen equipment efficiently.
• Commitment to upholding company policies, ethical standards, and food safety procedures consistently.
• Capability to collaborate with coworkers and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive work environment.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00*


*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
