About the job
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager based in New York, you are responsible for various payroll related tasks for the Contentsquare US and Canada entities.
What you’ll do:
- Process and manage payroll across multiple US states, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee the end-to-end Canadian payroll process in collaboration with a third-party provider (ADP).
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll cycles, including calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports (e.g., W-2, 941, state unemployment) and support year-end tax activities.
- Maintain up-to-date and audit-ready payroll records and documentation.
- Review and reconcile payroll data from Workday (HRIS) and ADP (Payroll system), and support Finance with payroll-to-GL reconciliations.
- Participate in analysis according to Finance department questions (FP&A, Accounting team etc.)
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
- Partner with HR, Benefits and Finance teams to align payroll processes with organizational goals and ensure accurate reporting
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experience in payroll, with exposure to multi-state US payroll.
- Experience in ADP WorkforceNow or similar payroll systems, Workday or other HRIS is a plus.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with experience working with large datasets and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with global processes.
- Experience with payroll tax filings and year-end processes.
- Familiarity with working in a global, fast-paced environment is an advantage.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working in the Tech / SAAS sector is beneficial but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VBA
- Experience working on Workday Financials
