US PAXLOVID Operational Enablement Lead

ROLE SUMMARY

COVID‑19 has transitioned to an endemic disease state, and PAXLOVID® is a critical therapeutic option for appropriate high‑risk patients. Following FDA approval and the transition to commercial supply, the brand operates within a mature but constantly evolving environment—requiring sustained focus on operational execution, performance management, and cross‑functional coordination.

The US PAXLOVID Operational Enablement Lead will report directly to the US Antiviral Lead and is responsible for leading insights generation, commercial operations, innovative strategy development and implementation to maximize the impact of our Marketing and Sales and Account Management organizations in the U.S. The individual should have a combination of strategic thinking, analytical ability, experience working collaboratively with marketing and cross-functional partners and people management skills to help the US PAXLOVID team achieve its commercial goals. This role will offer unique opportunity to showcase strong business acumen, cross-functional leadership, executive presence, and presentation with senior leadership given high-profile nature of the asset.

This role requires agility and flexibility to drive change and learn and adapt strategies and tactical execution quickly given how dynamic the marketplace is.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational and Strategic Leadership for the Franchise

  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the US Antiviral Lead, PAXLOVID Leadership Team, Customer Engagement Platform (CEP) leadership and  Customer & Commercial Group (CCG) teams; understand the market in terms of competitive landscape and “real‑world” challenges and opportunities that influence performance and execution.
  • Partner with the US Antiviral Lead, PAXLOVID Leadership Team, and cross-functional partners to identify new strategic opportunities for growth and develop action plans for execution.
  • Project manage key initiatives (e.g., Quarterly Earnings, US Commercial Operating Plan, Brand Acceleration Teams, commercial team and cross-functional coordination of key milestones, etc.).
  • Own and orchestrate core franchise operating mechanisms and connectivity to enterprise processes (e.g., Operating and Strategic Planning, earnings preparation, resource allocation, communications and culture).
  • Lead and evolve the team operating rhythm, including leadership meetings, cross-functional forums, quarterly team sessions, and culture/ways-of-working initiatives.
  • Track OpEx budget and identify areas of reallocation, in partnership with finance and cross-functional stakeholders.

Commercial Operations, Analytics & Decision Support

  • Lead and coordinate customized analytics and decision support for the commercial team.
  • Working with Commercial Analytics, identify key metrics and support the development and reporting to measure performance and track against established goals throughout the year.
  • Partner with analytics, finance, and brand leadership in developing financial forecasts and monitoring/diagnosis of key performance drivers (e.g., GTN, rebates, payer invoicing and related dynamics).
  • Coordinate across brand and analytics colleagues to develop and align on KPI tracking and measurement, including monitoring of patient funnel and market/access landscape.
  • Ensure a consistent approach and streamlined process for analytics with cross-functional partners; establish governance for prioritization of analytics initiatives to focus effort on the highest-value business questions.

Innovation, Growth & Change Leadership

  • Leverage data/learnings to inform strategic adjustments to accelerate business outcomes.
  • Foster an innovative and Agile approach to problem solving.
  • Ensure effective collaboration & sharing of best practices with partners across the enterprise.
  • Advance operational readiness approaches that strengthen execution across periods of variable demand, including improved tracking and early identification of changes in the environment where applicable.

Enterprise Communication & Culture

  • Effectively communicate US PAXLOVID strategies, performance, and ongoing activities through leadership reporting and business reviews; represent ongoing work across the business on behalf of the Leadership Team.
  • Build executive-ready narratives and materials for senior leadership discussions (e.g., operating plan, strategic planning, earnings preparation) and ensure alignment with enterprise processes.
  • Be the catalyst to drive a cohesive and strong culture for the US PAXLOVID team, leading culture initiatives, team meetings, and opportunities for teambuilding and skill development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or Master's and 10+ years of experience, or PhD/PharmD and 8+ years of experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven initiative, strategic thinking and creativity
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively to identify opportunities and trends
  • Experience successfully converting market and stakeholder insights into actionable strategies and tactics
  • Demonstrated track record in working with and influencing people and multidisciplinary teams in a complex and fluid environment
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication, listening skills, influence / negotiation prowess and relationship management capabilities with proven ability working in matrix organization
  • Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in identifying and managing major strategic challenges; can manage through ambiguity
  • Ability and eagerness to challenge status quo, act decisively and operate successfully in an empowered organization
  • A commitment to excellence – both in the results achieved and in how they are achieved

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of US marketing experience
  • Experience in consulting, finance or analytical role

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Work Location Assignment: Flexible

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $214,900.00 to $358,100.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
