Position Summary

The US HR Generalist will support and administer the daily activities of the Human Resources department for our US business unit. This role is responsible for responding to employee inquiries, supporting HR operations, maintaining compliance, and ensuring smooth onboarding, personnel changes, and offboarding processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine HR operational tasks related to onboarding, offboarding, position changes, compensation, benefits, and leave administration.

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits; escalate complex issues to senior HR leadership as needed.

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and support other employee engagement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and HR best practices.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HRIS records, personnel files, and documentation.

  • Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of employee information and HR records.

  • Conduct periodic audits of HR files and systems to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.

  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and external vendors, including health, disability, and retirement plan providers.

  • Stay informed of emerging trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in HR, talent management, and employment law.

  • Support HR projects and perform other duties as assigned.


Required Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy.

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Effective time and stress management skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.


Education & Certifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Relevant HR experience required.

  • SHRM-CP certification is a plus.


Experience

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Human Resources—preferably supporting US HR operations.


Language Skills

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
