UQ Calling Crew, 2026 Telephone Engagement Campaign
Casual positions with an hourly rate of $41.02, plus superannuation of 12% (HEW Level 1.1)

We are calling for applications for casual positions with the UQ Calling Crew, as part of Advancement’s Telephone Engagement Campaign. The campaign will run from our vibrant St Lucia Campus.
Key responsibilities will include:
Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday 5pm-8pm (subject to change with notice).
The telephone campaign isn’t just about fundraising; it is also a great way for UQ to stay in touch with its alumni and build a long-term relationship with them. You will be phoning UQ alumni and community members to update them on exciting developments here at UQ, hear about their memories of student life, and their careers since graduation. You will also be fundraising for a number of important projects across the University.
Advancement leads activities and services that help to raise the profile of UQ with alumni, industry partners and current and prospective donors. By raising awareness of the University’s vision, goals and achievements, Advancement helps position UQ as a destination for philanthropy, ensuring future generations of thought leaders and solution finders have access to an education that only a University in the world's top 100 can provide.
Annual Giving is one of the most important areas of Advancement’s fundraising and engagement efforts. The Annual Giving program solicits donations from alumni, staff and the wider community to support endeavours including scholarships, research and teaching initiatives at UQ. The UQ Calling Crew are important members of the Annual Giving team within Advancement. The UQ Calling Crew connects with alumni and donors of UQ to engage with and fundraise for support.

By supporting the academic endeavour across teaching, research, and the student life, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to activities that have a lasting impact on our community.
We’re looking for current UQ Students and especially Scholarship recipients who are energetic, have a positive attitude, and are great communicators. UQ Scholarship recipients are highly encouraged to apply. Call centre experience is desirable however full training will be provided.
The successful candidate may be required to complete background checks including the right to work in Australia.
This is a casual position through to December 2026 with offered shifts reflecting our campaign calendar. Work will occur June - December at HEW level 1.1. The hourly rate will be $41.02 per hour, plus 12% Superannuation.
