In this role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services including diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, and substance abuse counseling. You will support clients through mental health treatment, utilize evidence-based practices, and create individualized treatment planning strategies using DSM-5 criteria. You will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining timely documentation and delivering high-quality patient care in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Build therapeutic relationships with clients through consistent, compassionate, and client-centered counseling sessions
Conduct mental health assessments and substance use evaluations to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
Provide individual and family therapy using evidence-based therapy techniques and behavioral health interventions
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing clinical evaluation and client progress
Apply therapeutic interventions to support recovery, emotional wellness, and relapse prevention
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case management and clinical staff to ensure coordinated care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes within 24 hours
Respond to crisis intervention needs, including urgent care situations via phone or in-person support
Communicate effectively with leadership regarding patient care, program needs, and service delivery improvements
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
License-eligible in respective discipline preferred (e.g., LPC, LMSW, LMFT track)
Candidates with a related Master’s degree must have at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, counseling, social work, or related behavioral science coursework
Background in clinical assessment, treatment planning, psychopathology, and DSM-5 diagnostic processes
Clinical experience required, including internships or practicums in a mental health or substance use treatment setting
Additional Qualifications:
Strong communication skills across in-person, virtual, and written formats
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Excellent time management, organization, and coordination skills
Ability to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound clinical judgment
Physical Requirements:
Sit for extended periods (approximately 90% of the workday)
Stand occasionally (approximately 10% of the workday)
Perform occasional movements such as bending, kneeling, squatting, and light lifting
Travel locally as needed, including occasional driving
