Job Description Summary
The Financial and Administrative Analyst for the College of Nursing provides leadership and oversight of financial operations, reporting, and contract management to support the College’s clinical, academic, and operational initiatives. This role tracks, analyzes, and forecasts revenue, develops financial models, manages contracts, and ensures compliance with institutional policies and donor requirements. The position partners with Human Resources, Student Services, and College leadership to monitor budgets, personnel funding, enrollment, tuition, and fees, while maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. The incumbent exercises independent judgment, handles sensitive information with discretion, and provides actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making across the College.Entity

Job Description
Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry, and/or Certifications)
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. A job-related bachelor’s degree with multiple accounting courses may substitute for up to two years of the required work experience.
· Work Experience: Minimum of four years of professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or commercial lending.
Preferred Qualifications
· Thorough understanding of accounting, finance, and reporting concepts, practices, and procedures.
· Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong strategic problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to analyze complex financial transactions, interpret University policies and procedures, and apply critical thinking to decision-making.
· Demonstrated proficiency in standard business and productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas) and familiarity with Power BI.
· Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently while meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills; able to effectively interact with Associate Deans, faculty, staff, and University personnel on a daily basis.
· Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, and professional judgment in handling sensitive information.
· Highly independent, responsible, and capable of processing time-sensitive information while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue and Contract Management (35%)
Manages revenue tracking, analysis, and forecasting for the Office of Practice and other revenue-generating operations. Develops financial models to evaluate the viability of clinical revenue initiatives and business opportunities. Oversees contract administration, ensures accurate invoicing, reviews accounts receivable, and maintains comprehensive financial reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making. Administers College of Nursing contracts in compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
Student Services Support – Marketing & Recruitment (30%)
Collaborates with Student Services to track and analyze recruitment, enrollment, tuition, and fee data by program. Provides accurate reporting to support program planning, financial decision-making, and operational management.
MUSC Foundation Financial Oversight (10%)
Manages financial reporting and oversight for MUSC Foundation funds supporting the College of Nursing. Monitors account balances, revenue, and expenses, and processes check requests with supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and donor requirements.
Human Resources Support (10%)
Partners with Human Resources on personnel funding allocations for non-research faculty and staff, including positions funded through unrestricted accounts. Provides support for adjunct faculty contracts and budget monitoring to ensure accurate allocation and compliance.
General Accounting and Financial Reporting (10%)
Performs general accounting functions for the College, including journal entries, check requests, reimbursements, invoicing, and accounts receivable. Develops and maintains financial reports and databases to provide accurate, timely, and actionable information for College leadership. Supports procurement operations by providing backup coverage and assistance as needed.
Other Duties (5%)
Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission and operational needs of the College of Nursing.
