The primary purpose of this position is to to function as the 755 ISR Group Unit Deployment Manager managing day today readiness by ensuring assigned personnel are qualified and ready to meet "total force" and Air Expeditionary Force requirements for the 755 ISR Group including 7 Squadrons.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: This is a GG-11 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-11 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-11 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of JCS, MAJCOM, and wing/group operational reporting and deployment laws, regulations, policies, and practices applicable to responsibilities for wing/group units located worldwide. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Knowledge of regulations, policies, and precedents which effect MAJCOM and wing/group readiness program goals and objectives to develop and manage wing/group resources for senior staff. Skill to adapt analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of the assigned functional areas and in developing new and modified methods. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency deployment/mobilization concepts, principles, practices, procedures, regulations, and laws applicable to the full range of UDM management responsibilities; and established principles, practices, procedures, laws, and regulations related to the assigned functional areas, risk assessment methods, and techniques for evaluating competing alternatives. Knowledge of methods, procedures, and skills in evaluating and performing deployment operations to identify and meet organizational deployment requirements. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information. Skill in planning, organizing, directing, operating and evaluating Status of Resources (SORTS)/readiness reporting programs; and identifying, analyzing, and translating complex information; making appropriate judgments; and evaluating options concerning readiness reporting and unit readiness. Ability to recognize the inter-relationships of various aspects of operating programs to integrate and analyze information to evaluate overall program status; and to make instant decisions in advising commanders and unit monitors on a course of action. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to prepare and present briefings, coordinate planning efforts and manage program activities for group senior leadership. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1. Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS)security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
