Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Unit Attendant I works with the medical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse within a hospital unit to assist the staff and serve the patients in a variety of ways. The Unit Attendant I has responsibilities involving both direct and indirect patient care.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
