The purpose of this role is to support underwriters in evaluating Retail & Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) risks by managing inquiries, preparing underwriting data, liaising with intermediaries, and finalising transactions. The role involves ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, both internally and externally, and conducting market research to provide insights to the team.
Your New Role:
- Assist underwriters in underwriting Retail & Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) risks, including triaging inquiries and closing transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
- Regularly collect, compile, and analyse market information to share with the team.
- Track, report, and analyse the team's referrals, backlogs, and productivity.
- Be the digital ambassador of the team.
- Maintain product, system, and process knowledge.
- Attend relevant product and skill courses for professional development.
- Develop good working relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders regarding queries.
- Maintain accurate data in systems and databases.
About You:
- Some underwriting experience in insurance business.
- Relevant policy documentation handling experience.
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
