The Underwriting Analyst role is a dynamic role focused heavily in broker interactions, designed to provide outstanding analyst support while challenging individuals to meet our high standards of responsiveness, accuracy, efficiency, exceptional services and regulatory compliance. This opportunity is perfect for any upcoming graduate looking to start their career in insurance.

Analysts begin their career in a paid, comprehensive & team oriented training program environment. We are actively recruiting for Analysts who will report to our Chicago, IL, Charleston, SC, Warren, NJ, and New York offices.

What You'll Do.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage broker partnerships in specific states and/or territories across the US

  • Manage a book of brokers by delivering exceptional, timely, complete and accurate service to attain company growth, new business and profitability goals

  • Develop trusted, respected and lasting relationships with broker partners

  • Work with brokers to craft best solutions for their clients

  • Share knowledge and best practices with brokers

  • Underwrite empathetically at all times

  • Analyze, assess, and select risks in accordance with PURE's strategy and underwriting guidelines

  • Be challenged on assignments that may require using exceptional time management skills

  • Attend additional training and educational workshops to further develop both personally and professionally during your career in insurance

  • Be recognized for exceptional performance

  • Play a game of ping pong or pop-a-shot in our cafe, take a yoga class led by one of your coworkers on the roof deck, volunteer in the community with your coworkers

What You'll Need.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • You are entrepreneurial, persistent, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and possess strong analytical skills

  • You have established an impressive academic, professional, and recreational profile that demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • You are interested in a growing and innovative insurance carrier that specializes in the high net worth market

  • You exhibit excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills

  • You demonstrate sound, balanced and timely decision making skills and show integrity, empathy, urgency and can quickly establish trust and credibility

  • You can work independently but thrive in a collaborative atmosphere exhibiting team spirit and enthusiasm

  • You are an agile, creative, and adaptable learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations

Our Commitment to You

The training program begins in August 2026 in Charleston, SC. Analysts will spend their first two weeks onsite getting to know their cohort, our culture, and the work ahead. From there, training continues in their assigned home office locations. The program follows a hybrid schedule, with an expectation of working in the office 2–3 days per week, aligned with team schedules.

Throughout the program, Analysts will build a strong foundation in high-net-worth property and casualty insurance through a thoughtful mix of virtual instruction and hands-on training with their local teams. Along the way, they’ll develop a deep understanding of PURE’s products, solutions, and the disciplined practices that guide how we serve members.

The base salary for this role can range from $60,000 to $70,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience
