Job Description:

Summary:

The Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (TA) provides academic support to instructors and students in an undergraduate-level course. TAs assist in facilitating learning, providing feedback, and supporting the instructional process. This position is ideal for students who have excelled in the course and wish to gain leadership, teaching, and communication experience. This position is for KSB-123 Global Strategies.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the preparation of course materials, including lecture notes, assignments, and exams.

  • Conduct tutorials, workshops, or lab sessions to support student learning.

  • Provide guidance and support to students on course-related inquiries.

  • Evaluate and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments.

  • Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their understanding and performance.

  • Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating academic events, seminars, or workshops.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • 5 expected hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $17.95 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Good academic standing with a strong GPA.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A student who has taken KSB-123 Global Strategy is preferred.
