Undergraduate Cell Therapy Interns - Tarzana, CA

US – Tarzana – CA Full time

We are seeking undergraduate-level students majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biological Sciences, Data Sciences, or a related field for six 10-Week Student Intern roles in Tarzana, CA for a June 1st - August 7th contract period.  See the 6 available positions below:

Requirements for all positions:

  • Must be at least 18 years or older

  • Must have completed at least one year of study at an accredited university/college prior to internship commencing.

  • US Work Authorization is required at time of application.

  • This role will not be providing CPT support.

  • Ability to report onsite to Tarzana, CA 5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.

  • Compensation: $25 hourly

Position 1: Engineering – CAD Specialist

  • Assist in creating library of drawings of Lab, Process, and Facility equipment using computer-aided drafting.

  • Assist in walking through the sites and verifying existing drawings match actual build and redline as needed.

  • Assist in revising or changing facility drawings and completing standard calculations with specific instructions and feedback.

  • Work under the guidance engineers to complete assigned work.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a technical engineering degree with CAD training

  • Proficiency with MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Teams

  • Basic working knowledge with CAD such as AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software

Position 2: Supply Chain

  • Assist with performing inventory cycle counting in the warehouse.

  • Assist with assembling and verifying material kits.

  • Assist with kanban material replenishment.

  • Assist with picking materials to support requests.

  • Assist in addressing any Gemba walk observations.

Position 3: Manufacturing

  • Assist in preparing production MABR and label binders, print out necessary forms needed to start production runs.

  • Organize MABR binders and help with following up corrections

  • Assist Tech Trainer in scheduling training for operators

  • Assist in organizing cleanroom suites (putting akrobins, labeling etc.)

  • Assist in addressing any Gemba walk observations

Position 4: Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT)

  • Assist with data entry and trend analysis for clinical manufacturing batches

  • Establish process for electronic form-based data entry portal to streamline and optimize existing manual process

  • Support with ancillary MSAT engineer activities such as development of process flows, presentations, and business processes to support clinical manufacturing activities

Position 5: Quality Assurance

  • Assist in batch record closures for NGF30 and NGF70.

    • Revise existing batch record tracker to include elements required for closure of BRs.

  • Assist in transitioning paper records to Electronic EQV system.

  • Assist in revising the batch record review checklist

Position 6: Quality Controls

  • Assist in reviewing the QC micro sample receipt process and identifying gaps to improve.

  • Assist in organizing the documents storage based on product type, for QC testing and EM monitoring. 

  • Assist in reviewing Lot release testing timeline for the safety assays and establish median turnaround time for each assay.
