The Enterprise Application Services section at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is seeking an Enterprise Systems Analyst to join its People IT Services team.
This role requires strong expertise in UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) to support the configuration, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of the platform.
This position is critical to ensuring accurate payroll, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering workforce visibility across JPL’s operations. It calls for strong technical capabilities, a solid understanding of timekeeping and workforce management processes, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. The role also demands deep knowledge of integrations with Workday HR and Payroll, as well as Oracle Financial and Manufacturing systems.
The Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Section maintains stewardship over the ever-evolving Business IT portfolio of applications and systems required to support JPL's robust and complex business processes. It manages the system lifecycle for key business processes. It provides analytical and technical services as well as working closely with the Laboratory's business community.
Configure and maintain UKG Pro WFM modules including Timekeeping, Activities, Attestation, and Absence Management.
Manage and update pay rules, work rules, accruals, and activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, data errors, and integration exceptions; escalate when necessary.
Conduct audits and validations to ensure system accuracy and compliance.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and patch validation.
Maintain user security roles and permissions to support compliance and audit requirements.
Assist with interfaces and integrations between UKG Pro WFM and other systems such as Workday HR, Workday Payroll, Oracle Project Accounting, Oracle Work In Process and Oracle General Ledger.
Develop and maintain custom reports and queries using SQL, UKG reporting tools and advanced Excel.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance to gather requirements and implement solutions.
Research and apply UKG product enhancements and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar discipline with a minimum of 6 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 4 years of related experience or a PhD in similar disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Strong working experience in UKG Pro Workforce Management in the areas of Time and Absence as well as Activities
Strong working experience in Workday Payroll
Strong understanding of Labor Project Accounting and Accruals, preferably Oracle Project Accounting
Strong understanding of timekeeping, pay rules, accruals
Experience with UKG reporting tools.
Proficiency in SQL, data queries, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Candidate must be a U.S. person.
Familiarity with APIs, SFTP, and middleware integrations (e.g., Dell Boomi).
Knowledge of compliance requirements such as FLSA and local labor laws.
UKG certifications or progress toward certification.
