UX/UI Designer

Join us as our UX/UI Designer at Dedalus, one of the World’s leading healthcare technology companies, in Chennai to design key areas of the product from a UI/UX perspective, working with the functional and technical designers to ensure that the design is practical and can be implemented from a technical perspective and is usable from a user perspective. Ensure that the UI/UX design is well understood and agreed by Product Owners, Business Analysts, SMEs, Development and Testing.

What you’ll achieve

As the UX/UI Designer, you will assist in conducting user research, creating wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging and user-friendly digital experiences. Contribute to maintaining design systems and preparing assets for development handoff and making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI mockups that clearly illustrate functionality and user flow.

  • Translate complex clinical and operational requirements into simple, scalable, and accessible UI designs.

  • Maintain and contribute to a design system, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across platforms.

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare-specific UX best practices, including HIPAA compliance and accessibility (WCAG).

Essential Requirements

  • 4+ - 7 years of hands-on UX/UI design experience, preferably in the healthcare or health-tech industry.

  • Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Cametsia studio, similar.

  • Good understanding of healthcare workflows like EHR/EMR, patient portals, clinical dashboards, etc.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX and UI design projects in the healthcare domain.

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with a11y standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1), and experience designing for compliance and security in healthcare applications.

  • Should have strong basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and Bootstrap.

  • Good skills in preparing PPT, video training materials.

  • Good knowledge of typography and color theory.
