Pay is $17.70 per hour PLUS an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential.

Trimmer removes areas from product to ensure Tyson's high standards of quality are maintained. Production plays a critical role in supporting production line efficiency, sanitation standards, food safety compliance, and overall operational flow within the plant. This position ensures Product and production floor remains organized, supplied, safe, and aligned with company and regulatory standards while assisting supervisors and line operators as needed. This role requires flexibility, strong teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining Tyson’s standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Trimmer -Production Support
Trim product to maintain Tyson's high standards of quality.
Support production lines by ensuring materials, supplies, and packaging are readily available.
Assist with product movement, staging, and line changeovers.
Remove finished product, waste, and by-products from designated areas.
Maintain proper product rotation and organization.
Support rework processes as directed by leadership.
Sanitation & Food Safety
Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout shift.
Remove trash, debris, and excess materials promptly.
Follow all USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and food safety requirements.
Immediately report product or process deviations to leadership.
Assist with pre-operational and operational sanitation tasks.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
Utilize required PPE at all times.
Maintain safe walkways and clear emergency exits.
Report safety concerns or hazards immediately.
Participate in safety meetings and required training.
Operational Efficiency
Support supervisors during staffing adjustments and line balancing.
Assist with equipment preparation for start-up and shutdown.
Ensure floor organization aligns with crewing guide execution.
Maintain productivity standards established by the department.
Team Member Support
Provide backup coverage for line positions as trained.
Assist new hires with orientation to line processes as needed.
Promote dignity and respect in daily interactions.
Support plant initiatives and engagement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to work in cold, wet, humid, or hot environments.
Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours).
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as required.
Must comply with all food safety and biosecurity requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior food manufacturing or poultry production experience.
Basic understanding of production flow and equipment operation.
Forklift certification (if applicable to department).
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting.
Repetitive hand and arm motions.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
Use of knives or cutting tools may be required depending on area.
Work Environment
Fast-paced production environment.
Exposure to raw product.
Cold storage and refrigerated areas.
Loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
