General Labor PR01

Job Description Summary

The General Production Labor position provides hands-on support to production operations by performing a variety of manual and production-related tasks as assigned. This role supports product flow, quality, and efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment.

Backup Rehanger PR03

The Backup Rehanger is responsible for placing dropped birds on the overhead eviscerating shackle line. Must also keep the pinning line speed adjusted. Additionally, hangs empty shackles and one legs that the machine misses. Removes any paws that the cutter misses.

Inspector/Sorter PR03

This position is responsible for evaluating the quality of the product while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Perform assigned production tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling operations

Assist with product handling, sorting, stacking, and staging as required

Maintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or congestion

Monitor product for quality defects and report concerns promptly

Assist line operators with setup, changeovers, and general line support

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment

Remove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions

Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control requirements

Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies

Use required PPE and follow safe work practices

Perform other duties as assigned

Utility Laborer PR03

Job Description Summary 

The Utility Laborer is responsible for maintaining continuous product flow and supporting production operations in a fresh food manufacturing environment. This position relieves Team Members for breaks, fills in during labor shortages, and performs a variety of production support tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all Tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Maintain continuous product flow on production lines to support efficiency and throughput  Relieve Team Members on the production line for breaks, lunches, and absences. Fill in for open positions during labor shortages to ensure uninterrupted operations. Perform multiple production tasks as assigned, including but not limited to packing, sorting, staging, and material handling. Assist with product movement between production areas to prevent downtime or congestion. Monitor work areas to ensure product quality, food safety, and sanitation standards are met. Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to fresh product handling 

Assist supervisors by responding quickly to changing production needs 

Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, or product concerns immediately 

Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas, tools, and equipment 

Comply with all Tyson policies, OSHA regulations, USDA requirements, and food safety guidelines 

Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational goals 

 

Fresh Plant Environment Expectations 

Work directly with raw and fresh products in a temperature-controlled environment 

Strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements 

Compliance with food safety, quality, and contamination prevention practices 

Ability to adapt quickly to changing line assignments and production priorities 

 

Education and Experience Requirements 

Education: 

High School diploma or equivalent preferred 

 

Experience: 

Previous manufacturing or fresh food production experience preferred 

Ability to learn and perform multiple production tasks 

Skills and Competencies 

Flexibility and willingness to work in multiple production areas 

Strong attendance and reliability 

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions 

Basic communication skills 

Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to safety and quality 

 

Physical Demands and Work Requirements 

Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift 

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions 

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required 

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance 

Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment 

Required use of PPE, including gloves, aprons, hairnets, and protective footwear 

Work Schedule 

Must be available to work assigned shifts 

Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs
