Ensure all activities strictly align with Malaysian Customs regulations for LMW and FIZ.
Prepare and submit customs documents, permits, and licenses punctually.
Collaborate with customs officers to address inquiries and ensure smooth operations.
Keep current with the latest customs regulations and help revise company policies as needed.
Manage both incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely and flawless deliveries.
Collaborate daily with shipping companies and warehouse teams to improve logistics.
Find opportunities to improve logistics operations and reduce costs.
Ensure adherence to subcontracting regulations, including GST/SST and customs fees.
Occasionally assist with physical logistics tasks such as loading and unloading shipments.
Acquire and verify shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and receipts.
Maintain accurate transaction records for audit purposes to ensure compliance.
Collect, coordinate, and analyze data related to inventory, demand, supply, costs, and logistics performance.
Assist in the implementation of new logistics policies and evaluate their efficiency.
Provide solutions to minor logistical issues as they arise, ensuring seamless operations.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and business operations teams to coordinate logistics activities.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and partners as needed.
Participate in training sessions and mentor less experienced team members.
Support senior logistics staff with cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics or trade compliance, particularly within manufacturing or industrial roles.
Fundamental understanding of Malaysian Customs regulations, particularly LMW and FIZ documentation.
Experience with GTT and ERP software (such as SAP), and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated teamwork, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
Holding a certification in Customs or Trade Compliance is beneficial.
Fundamental understanding of global shipping, HTS, and Incoterms.
