Leads customer engagement to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects. Manages corporate, customer and third party vendor efforts to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems. Responsible for business as well as team management.

Job Family Definition for Mgr, Progr Mgmt Office:
Responsible for establishing and maintaining the portfolio and project management environment based upon Policies, Standards, Customer Engagement Roadmap and Global Method. May perform responsibilities as a member of an Engagement Program Management Office (EPMO) or as a business unit leader with responsibility for a portfolio of customer projects.

Management Level Definition:

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales with the opportunity assessment and consolidate the bid team, plan and manage the bid team kick off activities.
  • Identify all bid stakeholders and manage them, serve as a central communication entity among all involved parties
  • Ensure all needed stakeholders are notified and available
  • Create the bid plan to deliver the technical and commercial proposal on time, on price, with quality and within the scope requested by the customer, executing the sales strategy to get a winning proposal, planning the time for the HPE internal review and approval before submission.
  • Manage the bid team, creating a strong spirit of trust, collaboration, and winning approach. Looking for the balance between best technical proposal and customer budget.
  • Manage, scale, and communicate effectively and timely critical information or changes during the deal preparation.
  • Risk identification and mitigation plans, understanding impacts. Drives the problem solving aligning all needed stakeholders before the deal approval.
  • Challenge the team in product driven proposal aligned with the business unit and company strategy
  • Create the deal costing and pricing, consolidating all the components to sell (products, services, support…).
  • Manage the T&Cs deviation from standard - analysis, proposal, and approval (legal, finance…) And ensure proper review and approvals are obtained
  • Manage the involved 3rd party and 3rd Party Teaming Agreements (when needed for the deal) with the contribution of internal company processes and procurement rules.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks, and actively follow up with Sales and stakeholders to solve and close them on time
  • Escalate on timely manner and make sure escalations are managed
  • Work with the rest of the bid team on the preparation and participation of the customer meetings and negotiations.
  • When the deal is won, execute the Transition to Delivery for the Delivery Project Manager to take over.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First Level University degree.
  • 5 years experience in project management or in like roles/businesses.
  • English communication skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of key company Services' operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
  • Speaks with expertise to many layers of depth related to project management methods Participates in the company PM Professions community On the PMP Certification path. On the PMP Certification path.
