Role Overview/Purpose

The Partnerships and Retail Trust Manager is a commercially focused role responsible for managing and activating a diverse portfolio of strategic partners across the retail betting landscape. Operating within casino, pub, sporting venue, and community environments, you will drive partner engagement that delivers measurable business outcomes while upholding our commitment to safer gambling and corporate responsibility. This role demands a proactive partner manager who can translate business goals into activation strategies, maximize partnership value, and ensure all collaborations drive retail performance and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Management & Activation

  • Manage and grow relationships with multiple partners across casino operators, pub chains, sporting venues, community organizations, and charity partners
  • Act as the primary relationship owner for assigned partner relationships, ensuring regular strategic engagement and performance reviews
  • Develop tailored activation plans for each partner that align with our retail business objectives and drive footfall, customer engagement, and revenue
  • Identify and unlock commercial opportunities within existing partnerships, ensuring maximum value extraction and mutual benefit
  • Onboard new partners efficiently, establishing clear expectations, KPIs, and governance structures from the outset
  • Conduct regular partner performance analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
     

Business Goal Activation

  • Translate business objectives into partner-led initiatives that drive retail performance across our shop network
  • Collaborate with retail operations, marketing, and commercial teams to design and deploy partner campaigns that support seasonal priorities, product launches, and customer acquisition goals
  • Leverage partner assets (venues, audiences, channels) to amplify our retail presence and brand visibility
  • Create joint business plans with key partners that outline shared goals, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics
  • Monitor activation effectiveness and optimize campaigns in real-time to ensure ROI targets are achieved
     

Retail Industry & Multi-Venue Partnership Expertise

  • Navigate the complexities of the retail betting environment, understanding the unique dynamics of casino, pub, and sporting venue partnerships
  • Ensure all partnership activities comply with gambling industry regulations, licensing requirements, and safer gambling standards
  • Work with venue partners to create compelling in-location experiences that drive customer engagement and responsible play
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between partners and internal teams (retail ops, compliance, marketing, IT) to ensure seamless execution
     



 

Safer Gambling & Regulatory Compliance

  • Champion safer gambling across all partner touchpoints, ensuring education and resources are integrated into every activation
  • Ensure all partnership activities meet regulatory standards and internal responsible gambling policies
  • Support partners in implementing safer gambling best practices within their own environments
  • Work closely with compliance and risk teams to maintain audit-ready documentation and partner governance
     

Community Engagement & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead community initiatives that enhance brand reputation while supporting local causes aligned with our values
  • Engage local stakeholders to increase visibility of our positive community impact
  • Plan and deliver partnership events including launches, fundraisers, activations, and community days across multiple venue types
  • Ensure the voice of community partners is reflected in retail strategy and partnership design
     

Reporting, Insights & Performance Management

  • Establish clear KPIs for each partnership and track performance against agreed targets
  • Deliver regular, data-driven reports to the Director of Partnerships, leadership team, and external partners highlighting impact, ROI, and learnings
  • Maintain accurate records of all partner agreements, activations, financial commitments, and deliverables
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on partnership performance to inform future planning
  • Support annual partnership reviews and contribute to strategic planning with evidence-based analysis
     

Internal & External Promotion

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to showcase partnership success stories and community impact
  • Promote charity and community partners across our retail estate, maximizing visibility and employee engagement
  • Coordinate colleague recognition programs that celebrate partnership participation and fundraising achievements
  • Develop compelling case studies and content that demonstrates the business and social value of our partnerships

     

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Proven partnership management experience within retail, betting, hospitality, or multi-site environments
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of activating partnerships to deliver business results
  • Multi-partner coordination experience managing diverse stakeholder groups (commercial, charity, community)
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong drive to achieve targets and demonstrate measurable impact
  • Strategic thinking balanced with excellent execution and project management capability
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels of seniority
  • Strong understanding of the retail betting industry, including regulatory landscape and safer gambling requirements
  • Data-driven decision making with ability to analyze performance and optimize activations
  • Event planning and delivery experience across various scales and environments
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to craft compelling reports and presentations
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
  • High level of organization with ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects simultaneously

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within the gambling, gaming, or licensed retail sector
  • Knowledge of safer gambling frameworks and responsible gambling regulations
  • Existing relationships within casino, pub, or sporting venue networks
  • Track record of managing charity or CSR partnerships alongside commercial objectives
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced retail environment
