Position Overview:

The Trust Investments Associate provides comprehensive administrative support to a growing team of internal private banking and portfolio management professionals.  Individuals in this role serve as primary point of contact for other inter-company operational teams across the organization.  Additionally, persons in this role will serve as point of contact for a number of client relationships providing administrative, funds movement, and other servicing responsibilities.

The Trust Investments Associate works closely with Trust Portfolio Managers in maintaining client relationships and supporting business development efforts, as well as participating in certain company initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Working with Senior Portfolio Managers and Trust Administrators in support of:

  • Managing Trust portfolios that are properly aligned with the Trust/client’s investment objectives in accordance with The Chicago Trust Company investment philosophy and policy.

  • Meet with internal partners and clients to review client objectives and assist in deploying appropriate portfolio management strategies specific to client goals, risk tolerances and time horizon.

  • Understand and articulate the firm’s multi-asset strategies investment approach, asset allocation, investment process, and portfolio construction methodology.

  • Assist Portfolio Managers adherence to the firm’s investment policy guidelines, asset allocation models, and approved securities lists.

  • Understand and follow The Chicago Trust Company’s compliance guidelines in all aspects of conduct in the Trust Investments Associate role.

  • Trust Investment Committee Recording Secretary

  • Compilation and preparation of monthly reports

  • Prepare the monthly agenda

  • Attend meetings, take minutes and provide regular updates to Committee members

  • Staying current on economic and capital market information.

  • Assisting with required administrative duties such as: quarterly/annual reporting, maintaining and updating investment folders and documentation for client files, preparing Investment Policy Statements, and responding to various client requests.

  • Prepare client meeting materials and reports for Portfolio Managers.

  • Ensure data accuracy across numerous internal systems and applications.

  • Coordinate with clients’ attorneys, accountants, and other professionals as needed.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $42,000, - $55,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
