Job Description:
Position Purpose

Performs manual tasks involved in loading and unloading of trucks.
This position is considered essential. Personnel may be required to respond to campus emergencies both during and off shift.
Job Qualifications and Competencies
Previous truck driver helper experience preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license for the State of Rhode Island.
Must maintain required license(s) as a condition of employment.
Ability to understand simple verbal instruction.
Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working outside in inclement weather
Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must complete the University’s Defensive Driver Training course and complete a Driver Authorization form.
All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and pre-employment screenings satisfactory to Brown University.
